Alexander Hamilton (11 January 1757 or 1755 in Nevis, West Indies, now St. Kitts and Nevis - 12 July 1804 in New York City) was an American statesman, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and its first Secretary of the Treasury. He is also considered one of the first state theorists of representative democracy and the American school of economics.
