Donald John Trump (14 June 1946 - ) is a politician and businessman in the United States. He is the 45th President of the United States (in office: 20 January 2017 - 20 January 2021). He became a prominent real estate millionaire and was once the host of a reality show.

Born 14 June 1946 in Queens, New York City, New York, and raised there. After earning a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School, he took over his father's real estate business in 1971 and renamed it The Trump Organization, expanding from Queens and Brooklyn to Manhattan. The company was building and refurbishing high-rise buildings, hotels, casinos, golf courses, etc. After that, he started various side ventures, mainly by licensing his name. Trump bought the Miss Universe brand from the Miss Universe pageant in 1996 and sold it in 2015. He produced and moderated the reality show The Apprentice from January 2004 to June 2015. In August 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth at US$2.1 billion.

In June 2015, he advanced to the 2016 United States presidential election as a Republican and defeated 16 other candidates in the primary. His political position has been described as a populist, conservative, and nationalist. He was elected by defeating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, and became the first president to have never held a previous military or government position.
