Bob Hope

Leslie Townes "Bob" Hope (29 May 1903 in Eltham, England - 27 July 2003 in Toluca Lake, California) was an American comedian, actor and entertainer whose career in show business spanned almost 80 years. One of America's most popular comedians for decades, he was known for his sharp-tongued jokes and comedic timing. Hope has starred in more than 50 motion pictures, including the seven Road to... comedy movies co-starring Bing Crosby. As a presenter, he hosted a total of 19 Oscars, which remains a record to this day.
