Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower (14 October 1890 in Denison, Texas as David Dwight Eisenhower - 28 March 1969 in Washington, D.C.) was an American General of the Army and Supreme Commander of the Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) in Europe, during the Second World War. A Republican politician, Eisenhower served as the 34th President of the United States from 1953 to 1961.
