Scott John Morrison (born 13 May 1968 in Waverley, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian politician and member of the Liberal Party of Australia. He took over as prime minister and party leader on 24 August 2018, following the resignation of Malcolm Turnbull. Morrison ruled Australia in coalition with the National Party of Australia until 23 May 2022.
