George Washington [ˈwɒʃɪŋtən] (born 22 February 1732 on Wakefield Estate (also called "Pope's Plantation") in Westmoreland County, Virginia Colony - 14 December 1799 on his Mount Vernon Estate, Virginia) was from 1789 to 1797 the first President of the United States of America.
